Development of the Targeted Consultation for Mexico’s Sustainable Taxonomy (TSM)

The project consisted of three main deliverables:

  1. Systematization of existing TSM information: Identifying all materials consulted during the TSM integration process and developing a roadmap for said process.
  1. Final draft of the Taxonomy as a communication and outreach report: Following the process used by the European Union for its final taxonomy publication. Various communication strategies were reviewed to ensure an engaging and user-friendly format.
  1. Design and implementation of a public consultation process: Including a final report analyzing feedback and providing recommendations to improve the TSM draft.

The public consultation was designed in coordination with the Ministry of Finance (SHCP) and remained open for comments for five weeks. A total of 164 responses were received and documented in a registry describing the nature of each response, recommended actions, and editorial notes for the final version of the Taxonomy.

Upon completion, a final meeting was held to present the consultancy's findings to the satisfaction of the SHCP. The official publication includes an acknowledgment of Planisphera's contributions to the Sustainable Taxonomy. Additional deliverables include an analysis of ex-post public consultation responses received from regulatory bodies and the Central Bank of Mexico (Banco de México).
